I am an international performing singer songwriter. I play both covers and originals all over the wold. I am a multi-instrumentalist and have an endorsement which certifies me to teach K-12 music. I play private parties, special events, festivals, clubs, and other occasions. I teach lessons, and do contract writing gigs.
I love playing new places and meeting new people!

Her range of music and talent is undoubted. She is an incredibly talented songwriter, as well as being able to cover a variety of music genres.
She interacts great with her audience and is an absolute pleasure to deal with.

December 16, 2018We had Melissa play up at the Moonlight on the Mountain in Birmingham a few times. She is wonderfully pleasant to work with on top of being an extremely talented singer / songwriter. With her fantastic songs and amazing voice, she immediately connected with the audience and had the entire room smiling. December 16, 2018Having watched Melissa’s videos, I knew she was talented and I had high expectations when I invited her to be part of a songwriters show. She was all that and more. She arrived directly from another show she had played in earlier...and was ready to play, totally fresh and energetic. I’m not sure if I can adequately explain it, but her voice was much richer and more beautiful in person. Her guitar playing is excellent, and she has a dynamic stage presence. Melissa was very gracious and respectful of the venue and the musicians she shared the stage with. Melissa adds a strong talent boost to any show she is in, and I hope to see her perform again when she is in our area.

Hailing from the Gulf Coast of Alabama, internationally touring singer-songwriter, Melissa Joiner has been submersed in music since birth. Her creative use of formal opera training and Delta blues influence has created a diverse style that has made her a standout. Melissa grew up singing in a world famous Roadhouse in Florida and cut her teeth in some of the last Juke Joints in Mississippi.
After reaching her goal of playing 30 countries by the age of 30, Melissa decided to call the East Coast home. Her music can be heard on radio stations, at festivals, and at shows all over the world.
Recently, Melissa released a new album called Changing, had a song chart at number one in Norway, has had multiple cuts from signed artists, and has toured in Nicaragua, Costa Rica, Portugal, and Hawaii. To learn more and hear her music, check out (link hidden)
