May 11, 2022Game Changer
Working with Melissa was an absolute game changer for me. I am a working mom and work as a business development director in a fast paced environment. I spent 6 weeks working with Melissa to help me prepare for my maternity leave. In each session she helped me sort through what’s really important, identify ways to work more effectively, navigate tough conversations and, most importantly, she helped me dig deep to identify my own triggers, fears and anxieties. I left each session with Melissa with a better understanding of myself and with a new sense of focus. I highly recommend working with Melissa as an executive couch and already can’t wait to get back from my maternity leave to start working with her again.

May 6, 2022Inspiration for aspiring software engineers
With very little lead time, Melissa came to Chicago to speak to Seneca Foundation’s graduating apprentice cohort – 14 Black and Latinx young adults who had completed a six-month software development training program to launch their tech career with a Seneca partner company, while at the same time beginning their college journey. Melissa connected with the apprentices on her core beliefs, engaged them with stories of her own career, and lifted them up with a simple yet powerful message – You Belong! Melissa’s words to these aspiring software engineers will stay with them far into their careers. Thank you Melissa!

April 26, 2022Insightful, human, and engaging
We have asked Melissa to speak at the Business Agility Conference twice - the only speaker to have been invited to speak a second time. In both talks she engaged the audience with insights, personal experiences, and thought-leadership. She always delights the audience and brings a level of humanity to business-topics that is rarely seen. I would recommend her for any event.

What to expect
Melissa Boggs delivered an unforgettable keynote that masterfully wove roller skating with personal transformation, leaving the audience deeply moved and inspired to take action. Her "effortlessly poignant and playful" style created powerful connections, with many attendees feeling she was "speaking to them one-on-one." The presentation's standout quote, "Ships look really nice in the harbor but that's not what ships are for. And that's not what you are for either," resonated deeply, inspiring several audience members to commit to significant life changes - from writing books to starting businesses to skydiving. Melissa's energy and authenticity shone through as she demonstrated how to move from cautious to audacious, proving that everyone has the power to be a rule-changer.
Presentation Outcomes Achieved:
Start with the smallest possible experiment you can say yes to
It's okay to be a rule-changer - that's how meaningful change happens
Courage isn't about eliminating fear, but taking action despite it

Additional booking notes
A clean, hard, smooth floor that is at least 12ft.x 8 ft. is required to safely execute the talk with skates. I use indoor wheels with no toe stop, so there is no risk of damaging the floor. I have received feedback that the choreography is difficult to see if the stage is not elevated and centered for the audience.
