hello there :)!
My name is Melina Sterling and I’m a local Alt-Folk musician based out of Edmonton. I've been a musician for over 8 years and I have plenty of experience singing and playing guitar for various audiences. I feel comfortable learning songs in a short-time frame; However, complicated guitar parts arent my jam!
My favourite events are weddings, background music, and ambience for events.

Melina was fantastic and I highly recommend her for your events or special ceremonies! In my case, I wanted a surprise music performance for an engagement proposal and Melina worked with me on advance to put in place the perfect plan, the perfect set list (including learning some new songs just for me and my event), gave me great advice, and did the perfect custom performance for the occassion. Her voice is beautiful and she is super talented - I can't recommend her highly enough

I hired Mel to sing at my husbands birthday party and she was amazing. Communication with her was super easy, she had the cutest little setup (we didn’t need to supply her with anything), and she was very professional throughout the entire process and with her performance. Everyone loved her voice and she set the perfect tone for the guests. I could not recommend her enough!

Melina Sterling is a Costa Rican/Canadian indie alternative folk artist based in Edmonton, AB.
Born in the vibrant country of Costa Rica, Melina was exposed to the world of music at a very young age.
Melina plays frequently in the city of Edmonton at Open Mics, community events, and at private shows. She just released her first EP Project “Letters to my Past Selves” which is available on all streaming platforms.
She loves doing acoustic covers of all kinds of music; rock, jazz, country, r&b, and especially acoustic songs.
Melina can do private performances for engagements, weddings, birthdays, parties, festivals and more. She works passionately with her clients to create the energy and ambience their looking for.
