Overview
My name is Steven McGillicuddy and I would love to be the bagpiper you hire for your next event. I am currently a competitive piper and previously served as the Pipe Major for a major police department in South Florida during my law enforcement career.
I am classically trained by Pipe Major Scott Methven, of the Argyll and Sutherland Highlanders. Scott was the Sovereign’s piper, or personal piper, to Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II. I am honored to be a continuation of his musical legacy. I am available for weddings, funerals and anything in between. I will work with you to make your event unique and special.

What to expect
When you hire me you can be rest assured that you are getting a completely turn-key bagpiper experience. I am punctual and have a variety of outfits that I can wear, from casual kilt dress all the way to a fully formal “Number 1” pipers outfit with a tradition feather bonnet made of Ostrich feather. I will work with you ahead of time on details to make sure that when I show up to your venue you will have no stress!

My name is Steven McGillicuddy. I am currently a husband, father and full-time police officer. I joined here in order to spread my passion for bagpipe music. I am originally from Florida but have spent time living in Virginia, Maine and England. I hold both a B.S. and M.S. in Criminology. In my free time I enjoy spending time with my family, playing tennis and, of course, bagpiping!
