About Lisa Glickoff

Lisa Glickoff is the owner of Makeupology and the Co-Owner of Astute Artistry LLC/DSDT.

Glickoff created Makeupology with all people in mind. She has worked as a makeup artist for the Oscars, with over 500 TV news anchors and reporters across the country for years, and on movie sets, TV show production sets, TV pilots, and much more.

As someone who has used hundreds of brands on her celebrity clients over the years, Glickoff has realized that all makeup is good and there are benefits to each and every product that is out there. The consumer should feel fabulous whether that lipstick was $5 or $35! Makeupology is here to give variety and affordability to every person who wants to try something new, something fun, and something different! Glickoff's experience spans over 2 decades in the cosmetic industry. From celebrity clients to representing dozens of skincare and cosmetic lines, her expertise speaks for itself. Glickoff is also a licensed esthetician. Glickoff's main goal was to create a makeup line that is colorful, fun, and affordable. Glickoff's main goal is to help every person try color without being afraid - she truly believes life is better in color and so is makeup!

Astute Artistry is a makeup-training boutique, and beauty studio in the heart of Berkley MI. Glickoff's was the only licensed trade school in Michigan for fashion, film, special effects and beauty makeup and it also had a retail site offering a variety of spa and boutique services. Lisa and her sister then expanded and opened a tech school on the Southwest side of Detroit where they make available a wide variety of film and tech classes.

Lisa is always striving to utilize the most efficient and effective cleaning supplies on the market and can accommodate even the most “organic green clients” if need be. We pride ourselves in competitive pricing, keeping up to date with the newest demands in our industry and we are always educating ourselves with the newest software systems to keep our office running smoothly which in turn allows us to be the most effective for our clients.

As the founder of Astute Artistry, Lisa Glickoff stands proud as the only Make-Up & Special Effects Training School in Michigan. Lisa's highly advanced training program is geared towards Students looking for careers in the Film & Fashion industries. Lisa's passion has always made her strive to make women feel beautiful and confident through her art.

Since the early 1990's Lisa has been an active force in the makeup industry extending her knowledge and skills across the board from film, fashion and philanthropy to help victims of cancer and diseases.

Lisa's extensive background in makeup ranges from Account Executive, to National Trainer, & most notably the 2006 Oscars where she did make-up for several celebrity clients. Lisa's 17 Years of experience as Professional Make-up Artist and National Trainer for several Cosmetic and Beauty Corporations exceed her.

For 15 years of her career she also served as a Brand Ambassador for Several Major lines of Cosmetics. Lisa also grossed and achieved highest status rankings as the #1 New Business seller of products on a national level.

Over the past 2 years, Astute Artistry has participated, coordinated, and executed 3 Major events. 2 Charity events for the Barbara Ann Karmanos Cancer Institute which raised over $4,000 in Melanoma Research, and 2 major Film Industry networking events which connected Professionals and Amateurs in the Michigan Film Industry.

Lisa as well as Astute Artistry, have been featured in several Make-Up Artist Magazines, Styleline, Hour Detroit, Swocc Studios, The Novi News, Fox 2 News, The Observer, The Eccentric, 944 Magazine, The Detroit News, & Free Press.
