Overview
I'm an American drummer, composer, and educator based in New York. I've recorded and performed with a wide range of artists and have toured nationally and internationally for over a decade.
I regularly sub for artists/bands/productions seeking drummers/percussionist/multi-instrumentalists, I produce and perform on records, drum for National and International-based groups, compose music for film and television, and teach drums/percussion/music theory.
I've played everywhere from a 10,000 capacity bull fighting arena in Spain, one of Paris's most beloved television programs, Radio City Music Hall, and even in the parks and subways of New York City.

A veteran touring and recording drummer/percussionist, Max has provided rhythm to countless live performances and recordings. These include drumming for international blues singer Bette Smith, Matt Pond PA's final tour, Broadway Battles Bullying: A series of fundraising events featuring Broadway and Off-Broadway luminaries, Jim Royle's Rome Earthquake Relief Tour, The Off-Broadway productions of Honestly Abe and Reefer Madness, 1st chair for NYU's Music Education Jazz Ensemble, as well as a host of local and international groups like Taking Meds, Upright Man, Ewe Dew, Lilly Odelle, Petal Crush, City Girl, Patch Kid, New Rock City, The Patrick Duffy Band, Rum Buffalo, Vanderwoolf, Pyschobaby, and many more.
Max's has performed at major music festivals worldwide including The Montreux Jazz Festival and Cazorla Blues Fest, television programs like La Hora Musa in Barcelona and Le Quotidien in Paris, on radio stations including BBC1, WNYC, iHeartRadio, Europe 1, World Cafe's WXPN, Austin Texas's KUTX, WSHU-FM, and more across the United States and Europe.
