December 4, 2021I was thrilled to find a local Lawrence musician to perform at my ceremony, and Matthew made the entire process so, so easy. He knew exactly what to do to create the most impact with the songs we chose (April Come She will and Ring Them Bells) and timed everything down to the second to help me organize the ceremony. He even let me add a song (Blackbird) last minute without any stress at all. He is a talented vocalist and guitarist, not to mention kind and professional. I would hire him again in a heartbeat!

Matthew Mulnix is an alternative pop/rock musician from Lawrence, KS. Performing both originals and covers through the filter of coffee shop guitar and vocals, Matthew loves entertaining audiences with his honest, yet accessible live sets. Mulnix has released two albums of original pop/rock music, including The Truth Exposed in 2013, and Relative North in 2017. His music has been featured in national publications such as Substream Magazine and The Alternative.
Mulnix was diagnosed with Stargardt disease, a juvenile form of Macular Degeneration, at age 9 in 2001. With sheet music reading being cumbersome for a visually impaired student, Matthew elected to pursue public school music education by ear, rather than sight. With his background in music theory and ear training, Mulnix provides services to growing musicians, including private music instruction, songwriting and arrangement, and record production at Sad Cowboy Recording Co. in Lawrence, KS.
I only require an electricity hook up. If the performance area is far from the outlet, please run an extension cable before I arrive if possible.
