Communication was really great which made it for a stress free event. I would highly recommend him to provide a nice acoustic experience, we had requested a few songs playing via guitar, including "Here Comes the Bride" for when I walked down the aisle. He even had his own outdoor portable speaker. We really got our moneys worth and it really added a nice ambiance to the event while we were taking photos under the trees in nature.

Matthew Lamothe has been an Ottawa-based, professional musician for the past 8 years and a guitar instructor for 5 years. He is an enthusiastic instructor who emphasizes fun, musical development, and commitment. The main goal of his classes are to encourage students to cultivate their passion for music.
Matthew began playing the guitar at 13 after his father gave him a small acoustic guitar that had been collecting dust in a closet. After a few years of playing chords and learning through magazines, he began taking formal lessons on technique and theory to create a solid foundation for his musical practice. After moving to Ottawa in 2008, he attended Algonquin College for the Music Industry Art program. There, he learned recording technology and attained a certificate in pre-music production. After graduating, Matthew joined local rock band Pretty Little Death Machine (PLDM), recorded two albums, and toured across Canada. After that Matthew played in three more local bands gnarly brown as well as elementals and Scott Kelly and the dynamics before embarking on a solo career in 2023.
