Imagine the setting: Clintonville Women's Club; white linen tablecloths: china place settings; wine bar; 95 guests; beautiful piano music in the background. Matthew Adair was the finishing touch on our special event. We would definitely hire Matthew again for future events. Many guests compliments on Matthew's playing. Matthew is talented, professional, pleasant. He arrived on time and played the amount of time that we agreed upon. We discussed the playlist several weeks before. As I was visiting with our guests, I would hear my favorite songs in the background. Just the right sound level for background music. Thank you, Matthew, for making our event even more special.

I hired Matthew to play piano music during our daughter's wedding reception cocktail hour and during the dinner. The young couple wanted current pop cover music and Matthew played beautiful music. I have played piano from age 5 and have enjoyed growing as a musician since then. A client can expect the utmost professionalism and entertainment from my music. I have all necessary equipment—I simply need to plug in. If you want a carefree form of unforgettable entertainment as a backdrop to your next event, let me know!
Additional booking notes
I play on a 2014 Yamaha P-255 professional digital piano, with capabilities to hook up to a sound system or amp if necessary. The P-255 uses the Pure CF Sound Engine to produce its piano Voices. The top piano in Yamaha's P-Series, the P-255 can also recreate the characteristic acoustics of the grand piano sound in a more realistic fashion.
If a suitable acoustic piano is available on site, all the better!

Set list
Genre of music can be discussed prior to performance. I generally play widely acceptable music that is not offensive to listeners. The music is meant to relax and entertain your guests, not be the center of attention. My focus is on popular standards from the early-mid 20th century.
Influences and inspiration
I enjoy listening to Elton John, Norah Jones, Chet Baker, Fiona Apple, Regina Spektor, Ben Folds, Frank Sinatra, Ella Fitzgerald, Louis Armstrong, Billie Holiday, Pink Martini, and many many more.
