My name is Matt Crump and I am in the local country rock band Crump & the Florida Four. In between our full band shows I play solo acoustic sets. My catalog includes old country, classic rock and blues. I started playing and singing in college in San Antonio, Texas. I played 17 weeks straight at the 3rd oldest bar in town called 'Broadway 50/50' to get the college crowd in. I moved back here to Jacksonville in 2024 and am looking for more places to play.

I mainly play acoustic guitar at my solo gigs. Now and then if I get a feel for a place I can bring out the electric. I love to play covers of my heroes like Johnny Cash and Willie Nelson. I do some classic rock as well in the likes of Skynyrd, Boston, Def Leppard or Bon Jovi. I cut some blues here and there. I usually play around 3 hours with one or two 10-15 minute breaks. I do like to feed off the crowd and have gone 3 and a half hours straight before. Some songs I like to bring out the harmonica.
Born in Melbourne, FL and grew up in Jacksonville, FL. I played college baseball in Kansas and Texas. While playing I sang and played guitar in bars around the towns I was in. I had a bad leg injury which ended the baseball career and got married and moved back home to Jacksonville. I love playing live acoustic shows around town. I am also in a band called Crump & the Florida Four and we have done a few shows in town as well. I am looking for more solo acoustic opportunities in between our full band shows. If you want to book our band that would be great as well!
Just give me an electrical outlet and I'll plug in my amp which plays my guitar and mic. That's all I need!
