As a solo violinist, audiences may expect the usual classics of Bach, Beethoven or Mozart. However, with a PA system, backing tracks and more, the violin can play much more than the classics. Ranging from Top 40, Rock, Hip-Hop or any other requests, one will admire the diversity of the violin's playing ability for any genre. Other services include, DJing, production of beats and live sound engineering.
I had to change plans for my proposal and he rolls w/ the punches like a champ. Change of venue and time and he was still in position to help make our moment beautiful. I can’t recommend him enough!
I hired Alex to perform at my husband's 60th birthday celebration. The party theme was Havana Nights so Alex played a variety of Latin songs/music to set the party mood. My guests had never heard the violin played to pop/Latin music before and we were all enchanted. Alex was professional, on time, gifted and charming, easy to communicate and coordinate with. I would definitely consider asking Alex to come back for my next party. Thank you, Alex/Mascorro Productions.

What to Expect
Audience members may expect a lovely wine and dine as Alex plays a classical solo piece or the audience will dance and actively listen as Alex goes from acoustic to amped up with backing tracks. Because Alex believes the violin can play any genre, audiences will see the violin go from classical instrument to the drive for a Hip-Hop backing track. Perhaps some prefer something more laid back and may expect to hear some improv on some jazzy beats. Whatever it may be, the violin serves as a dynamic source of entertainment.
A graduate of Santa Ana College's Music Department and current student at Cal Poly Pomona, Alex Mascorro continues playing violin for over a decade. Alex plays from Classical to Baroque, to quartet to solo or plays contemporary such as Top 40 to Rock n Roll. His extensive knowledge and love for music drives his performances. He wishes to pursue music as a full time career as a graduate and strives to produce music, play violin and share his music with all.
Additional Booking Notes
Guests may request an acoustic performance, however, PA system set up is needed to deliver other genre performances. Alex will work with any workspace and provide the best sound possible.
