Professionalism, excellence and a musical experience!

Hello! My name is Dareon Burwell also known as “Markado Music” and I’m from the
little town of Henderson, NC. I’ve been interested/involved in music since the age of a
toddler. Growing up in church and coming from a musical family has broaden my
desire to learn music as a kid. At the age of 4 I knew I wanted to play drums. Just the
thought of being able to be as ear-piercing as I desired without consequence was
very welcoming to me, so the hunger grew. At the age of 9 I secured a drumming job
at my first church. I was 12 years old when I was introduced to other genres such as:
R&B, Funk, Pop, Jazz, Country, etc. At that same age I grew an interest to wanting to
learn bass, piano, organ, etc and succeeded thankfully!
Music has been a very important entity in my life. I attended Saint Augustine’s
University where I studied music. There I was able to learn about music theory and
the importance of music theory application. I’ve traveled across the world playing
music and would be honored to be asset to the team! I’ve been graced with the
opportunities to play for world renowned artist and preachers such as: Bishop Noel
Jones, Bishop Myron Henderson Sr., Prophet Brian Carn, Jason Nelson, Tasha-Page
Lockhart, Evang. Wanda Parker Frazier, Prophet Orin Perry, etc. These are just a few
names and list continues to grow. I’ve done/currently doing shows, cruises,
amusement park gigs, weddings, banquets, etc.
My musical influences are: D’angelo, Bilal, Robert Glasper, Cory Henry, Angie Stone,
Jill Scott, Erykah Badu, Mint Condition, Michael Jackson, Lauren Hill, Pj Morton,
Travis Malloy, Chris Brown, Chris Dave, George “Spanky” McCurdy, Taron Lockett,
Sean Wright, Eddie Heyward, Michael Bereal, Jason White and several more! Thank
