Arrival: You can expect for Marilyn to promptly arrive to sound check at least an hour before the scheduled event time or earlier, upon request.

Attire: Marilyn will be dressed in business-professional attire appropriate for the event

Performance: Marilyn will provide a passionate, soulful, and uplifting performance to your event. Marilyn will be sure to boldly engage your audience and create an unforgettable, life-changing experience.

Equipment: Marilyn will need a microphone and an adequate cd player audio system. Marilyn can also travel with a full-band upon request.

Marilyn will also need a table set-up where she may sell product and engage with audience members after the event.

Marilyn Maynor, formerly Marilyn Wright, is a seasoned performer and an anointed singer whose dynamic vocal ability and humble spirit has made an impressive impact on her audiences. Although Marilyn’s first live performance was at age 7, she has been lifting her voice in song since the age of 3. Marilyn began listening to female diva vocalists at three years old and continued to be influenced by powerful vocals, such as Yolanda Adams and Mariah Carey.



A native of Cleveland, OH, Marilyn has made a name for herself by performing in a variety of churches, conferences, events and concerts all over the northeast region. 



In 2010, Marilyn graduated as Salutatorian of her senior high school class and went on to pursue a degree in Music Business/Management from the world-renowned Berklee College of Music.

Marilyn travels across the United States as a guest artist and speaker at various youth conferences, weddings, funerals and programs.

Some of Marilyn’s musical accomplishments to date are being the grand prize winner of the 2003 Coca-Cola Talent Showcase Competition; where she won $5,000 for her school’s music department and a trip for four to Walt Disney World, singing the Star Spangled Banner at the Cleveland Baron’s Hockey Team @ The Gund Arena (now Q Arena), and being seen on Showtime at the Apollo in Harlem, NY, April of 2004. Marilyn also won first place at the 2004 All American Talent Showcase in July 2004 in Las Vegas, NV, was selected as one of the top ten performers by the UniverSoul Circus, was a featured Youth Prodigy at the 100 Black Men’s 10th Annual Awards Gala in February of 2008, winning 1st Place at the NAACAP ACT-SO Competition and qualifying to go to Nationals in New York, New York in April of 2009, then Kansas City, Missouri in 2010. Marilyn was one of the top 9 featured finalists in Berklee College of Music’s prestigious Singer’s Showcase Fall of 2011, won 1st place in Boston’s Kiwani’s Star Talent Competition in 2013, and was then selected as a top 10 finalist in American Family Insurance’s “Your Dream is Out There LIVE” Competition in January of 2014.

Sound check with a microphone and CD audio system should be able to be completed at least 1 hr before the event.
