May 1, 2026Perfection & Professional
Marianne Goodland played for my daughter's wedding this past week. Her playing was so beautiful. She couldn't have done a better job. Throughout the months of planning, Marianne was responsive whenever I sent a message. She also messaged me regarding a surprise I had planned for my daughter. She was accommodating, and quite frankly most helpful, regarding the surprise. Without her, I could not have pulled off the surprise. Marianne will do a fantastic job for you. You will enjoy working with her. She is seamless in her arrival, playing and departure. You can't work with a more kind and capable woman. If you read this, Marianne, thank you from the bottom of my heart!

December 26, 2025Highly Recommend - Beautiful, Stunning, Noticed
Marianne was wonderful to work with. She is professional, timely, and responsive. Her real magic comes in when she plays the harp. She played for my daughters wedding at a historic home in Longmont. Her ability to play and her large repertoire were noticed by many guests. The harp was different and fun for our ceremony and small reception. Marianne not only captivated folks with her playing but took questions and "worked the crowd". We received many complements regarding her playing. Thanks Marianne for adding to our event! I highly recommend Marianne.

What to expect
I am a consummate professional; I've never been late to a gig in the 16 years I've been playing professionally. I bring my own sound system, geared to either small or medium-size venues. When you hire me for your event, I'll meet with you free of charge to go over what you want and how I can make that happen, either in person in my studio or over Zoom. I'm very flexible; given at least 30 days I can pretty much play anything.
About
I started learning classical harp in 1978 and realized this was what I was meant to play. It's been a part of my life ever since. I began playing professionally in 2006. I'm a three-time winner of the Colorado Scottish-Irish Festival harp competition, and was selected the festival's outstanding folk musician in 2007. I've played for Nobel Peace Prize winners, the Irish Ambassador to the United States (Daniel Mulhall), the Irish minister for education in charge of higher education, numerous appearances at Celtic festivals all over Colorado. I also perform annually for the Colorado General Assembly. I love all kinds of music and have played everything from Led Zeppelin to Lord of the Rings to music from online gaming communities. I also teach adults.
Additional booking notes
I need only an electrical outlet for the sound system; otherwise, I'm entirely self-contained and bring all my own gear.
