I am a cinematic, storytelling, documentary-style wedding and elopement photographer based in Tofino, working across Ucluelet and Vancouver Island. My work is rooted in real moments, honest emotion, and the in-between parts of your day that you don’t always notice while they’re happening, but feel deeply when you look back.

My approach is calm, intentional, and present. I guide when it’s helpful so you never feel unsure in front of the camera, but I also step back often so your day can unfold naturally without interruption or forced posing. The result is a gallery that feels lived in, emotional, and true to you.

Once you reach out through my contact form, we’ll schedule a video call to talk through your love story and your vision for the day. After our call, you’ll receive a contract and invoice.

A signed contract and 25% retainer secures your date. Closer to your wedding, you’ll receive a questionnaire so I can understand all the final details, timing, and logistics you’ve been planning.

After booking, I stay in touch throughout your planning process. I’m available for questions, timeline help, recommendations, or support as things come together. I love seeing your ideas, inspiration, and updates along the way.

On your wedding day, your only job is to be present. I document your story as it naturally unfolds, focusing on real connection, emotion, and atmosphere. Sneak peeks are delivered within 72 business hours, and your full gallery is delivered within five weeks, carefully edited to reflect how your day actually felt.

Hi, I’m Mariana. I was born in Colombia and raised in Calgary, where most of my childhood was spent ski racing in the mountains and dreaming up big adventures. Somewhere along the way, I found photography, first through an old camera in my basement, then through university, and eventually through the realization that a photograph can hold a feeling in a way words sometimes can’t.

Eventually, the ocean called me west. I came to Tofino for the surf, but somewhere between the salt air, the forests, and the rhythm of the tides, I realized I could see my whole future here.

I’m a serial feeler, a forever romantic, and I will absolutely be wiping my eyes behind the camera before your vows even start. It happens every time, I’ve stopped pretending it won’t.

What moves me most is people. Two people standing in a beautiful place, choosing each other. I care less about stiff poses and more about the way your hands find each other without thinking. The deep breaths. The chaos. The quiet. The kind of moments you don’t realize are sacred until you see them frozen in time.
