Mariachi Rosas de Oro is Houston’s premier all-female mariachi ensemble, bringing vibrant energy, elegance, and rich musical tradition to the Space City and its surrounding areas. Established to showcase the powerful artistry of women in Mexican traditional music, the group delivers captivating performances that honor classic sones, heartfelt rancheras, and contemporary favorites.
The ensemble was founded and is directed by Houston native Samara A. Martinez. Samara’s deep-rooted passion for the genre began during her time at the prestigious Kinder High School for the Performing and Visual Arts (Kinder HSPVA, Class of '07), where she actively immersed herself in mariachi music. Solidifying her lifelong dedication to the craft, she went on to earn a Bachelor's Degree in Music Education.
As a trained educator and lifelong musician, Samara leads Mariachi Rosas de Oro with a focus on high-caliber musicianship, precise vocal harmonies, and dynamic stage presence. From intimate family celebrations to large-scale cultural festivals, Mariachi Rosas de Oro stands out as a symbol of cultural pride and female empowerment in the Texas music scene.
Scenario A: When Mariachi Rosas de Oro Provides the Sound
For intimate venues, private parties, and medium-sized indoor spaces, we provide our own compact sound system to keep the performance polished and balanced:
Included Equipment: We provide two (2) professional vocal microphones on stands and one (1) high-quality PA speaker.
Power Requirement: Access to one (1) standard, reliable 120V electrical outlet within 25 feet of the performance area.
Scenario B: When the Client/Venue Provides the Sound System
For large halls, outdoor festivals, or corporate events where the venue handles the audio, our ensemble typically consists of 6 to 7 musicians. Because everyone sings, please provide the following input setup for our instrumentation:
