Mariachi Nuevo Rubí was founded in 2017 by Víctor Rubio and co-director Sofía Jiménez. The musicians in this mariachi are very united. The five of them have been playing together for about 10 years in different mariachis throughout the Central Valley until Nuevo Rubí was formed. Combined, they have about 100 years of experience. Each musician brings their own flare and personality to this mariachi's sound but when combined, the outcome is very desirable and synchronized. Víctor is acknowledged as one of the best trumpet players in the entire Central Valley as his extensive training has enabled him to conjure a lost form of "traditional mariachi trumpet sound". He has been trained by some of the best trumpet players in the world including Martín "El Animas" Lara. Despite his young age, Víctor has also had the honor of playing for and accompanying many great artists from Juan Gabriel to Manolo Muñiz. Sofía is grand-daughter of José Alfredo Jiménez Sandoval, Mexico's beloved singer and composer. She often is admired for her potent voice and her "ranchera style" voice. She takes pride and responsibility in following her grandfather's legacy. Mariachi Nuevo Rubí fue fundando en el 2017 por Víctor Rubio y co-directora Sofía Jiménez. Los musicos de este mariachi son muy unidos. Los cinco han tocado juntos por casi 10 años en diferentes mariachis del Valle Central hasta que se inicio el mariachi. Mutualmente tienen casi 100 años de experencia. Cada musico contribuye su personalidad y su talento para dar a luz un sonido unico y synchronizado que es muy admirable. Víctor es considerado como uno de los mejores trompetistas en el Valle Central por su sonido tradicional de mariachi. Su entrenamiento y aprendisaje han sido brindados de los mejores trompetistas del mundo incluyendo Martín "El Animas" Lara. A pesar de su corta edad, Víctor ha tenido el honor de tocar para y acompañar grandes artistas desde Juan Gabriel a Manolo Muníz. Sofía es la nieta del canta-autor mas reconocido y querido de México, José Alfredo Jiménez Sandoval. Sofía es admirada por su voz potente y su estilo "ranchero" de cantar. Ella toma con grande responsabilidad y orgullo seguir en los pasos de su abuelo José Alfredo y darle respeto a su legado.
