Marco Itapuã is a Brazilian -American musician (born in Salvador, Bahia, Brazil). He is a guitarist, bassist, composer, and arranger; he earned a Doctorate in Music in Classical Guitar Performance and Literature and a Master's in Music in Jazz Studies, both from Indiana University Jacobs School of Music (in Bloomington, Indiana, USA), and also a Bachelor's degree in Music Composition from the State University of Campinas, São Paulo, Brazil.
