I have been singing and playing guitar since my teenage years. I specialize in classic folk, blues, jazz, classical, and Israeli music. I appear regularly at local open mic nights such as Old Songs in Voorheesville, N.Y. I am an active member of the Classical Guitar Society of Upstate New York, through which I have appeared in recitals at SUNY Oneonta and Unadilla, N.Y. I have served frequently as a volunteer musician supporting the causes of autism awareness and veterans affairs. I also belong to the Peoples Music Network which promotes songs of peace and social justice. Demo CDs are available.

I perform popular songs from the sixties and seventies, traditional and contemporary folk music, instrumental jazz and blues, and classical works by such composers for guitar as Sor, Carulli, Aguado, Carcassi, and Giuliani. I also specialize in Jewish and Israeli folk selections. I could play Broadway show music as well. I can provide background music for a party or restaurant, or present an organized show. I would work closely with event planners to deliver the desired program and would be prompt, entertaining, and professional.
I am an experienced vocalist/guitarist who has studied with well-known musicians at the National Guitar Workshop in New Milford, Conn. I am active in the Old Songs organization in Voorheesville, N.Y., regularly participating in their monthly open mics. I have also played full-length gigs at the Georgian Resort in Lake George, the Moon and River Cafe in Schenectady, Justin's and Red Square in downtown Albany, the Eden Cafe in Loudonville, the Elks Club in Albany, the Cook Park and New Covenant Presbyterian Church Farmers Markets, the William Sanford Library in Colonie, the Bethlehem public library, Cafe Capriglio in Guilderland, the Schenectady Green Market in Proctor’s arcade, Professor Java's in Colonie, and the former Israel Cafe on New Scotland Ave. For a number of years, I appeared on a monthly basis with my daughter Melanie, a talented poet, at the Delmar Place assisted living center as part of the lay chaplain program of the local Jewish Federation. I have also performed at the Hadassah centennial celebration at Shaker Ridge Country Club, Hadassah Special Gifts at Congegation Agudat Achim in Schenectady, a fundraiser for the Independent Living Center of the Hudson Valley at Glennpeters Jewelry in Colonie, the annual Seder for the Disabled at Ohav Shalom synagogue, the Joslyn Senior Citizens Center holiday party in Hudson, NY, and the Village of Colonie annual holiday party. I have played for Colonie Chabad Purim and Chanukah parties. I have worked with internationally celebrated flamenco guitarist Maria Zemantauski. For 15 years, I was a tenor and regular guitarist with the Ne'imah Jewish Community Chorus and have recently rejoined this group. For a number of years, I had served as president of this group. In addition, I have served as a professional High Holiday cantor at area synagogues. I have just entertained at a corporate event at the Polish Community Center on Washington Ave. Ext.
I provide my own microphones and amplification equipment.
