Overview

Hi! I’m Mana, a violinist who loves bringing live music to weddings, ceremonies, and special events, creating a beautiful and memorable atmosphere for every occasion.
I perform a wide range of music, from classical pieces to contemporary and popular songs arranged for violin, and I’m happy to work with clients to choose music that fits their event perfectly.
In addition to solo violin, I can also perform with other musicians such as another violinist, a violist, or a cellist to create duos, trios, or a full string quartet depending on the style and sound you’re looking for.

What to expect

Audiences can expect an elegant and emotionally engaging performance that enhances any event's atmosphere. Whether it's a wedding, formal gathering, or special celebration, I provide live violin music tailored to fit the mood, ranging from classical pieces to modern songs.
Clients can expect professionalism, reliability, and attention to detail. I work closely with each client to understand their vision, offer song suggestions if needed, and ensure the music complements every moment seamlessly.
For a fuller sound, I also have the option to perform with additional musicians, including another violinist, violist, or cellist, creating a richer ensemble experience.

About

Mana Takahashi was born in Kanagawa, Japan, and began studying the violin in Okinawa at age 4, where her family relocated after the Great East Japan Earthquake in 2011. She was selected as one of the youngest participants at the ACROS Fukuoka Violin Seminar, studying under renowned professor Seiji Kageyama. In 2021, her family moved to Tampa, Florida, due to her father’s work commitments. She is currently a senior at Dr. Kiran C. Patel High School and has been the concertmaster of the Tampa Metropolitan Youth Orchestra since 2023. Additionally, she was the concertmaster of the Florida All-State Orchestra in 2025. Her teachers have included Mika Miyara, Yuko Kageyama, Madeleine Jansen, Michelle Kim-Painter, Carolyn Stuart, and, currently, Yefim Romanov.

Mana has received numerous awards, including first prizes at the Ryukyu Shimpo Violin Competition (2016-20), the International School Violin Competition (2016-17), the Tampa Metropolitan Youth Orchestra Concerto Competition (2022), the Tampa Young Artists Competition (2023, 2025), and the University of Tampa Concerto and Aria Competition (2024). She earned the first and second prize at the Hilton Head Symphony Orchestra Youth Concerto Competition in 2024 and 2025. As a soloist, she has performed with the Tampa Metropolitan Youth Orchestra (2023), the Florida College Symphony Orchestra (2024), and the University of Tampa Symphony Orchestra (2025). Passionate about chamber music, Mana has participated as a scholarship student in several summer festivals, including the Luzerne Music Center Summer Festival and the Green Mountain Chamber Music Festival.

Additional booking notes

My performance setup is simple and flexible, making it easy to accommodate a wide range of venues. For most events, I require a clean, sheltered performance space with a chair (if seated performance is preferred) and adequate lighting.

For indoor events, no additional sound equipment is typically needed, as the violin projects well in intimate and mid-sized spaces. For larger venues or outdoor events, amplification (such as a microphone and speaker system) may be recommended to ensure optimal sound quality.

If performing as part of an ensemble, additional space and seating may be required depending on the group size. I will coordinate all setup details with the client in advance to ensure a smooth and stress-free experience.

Influences and inspiration

Through my experience of music as a universal connector and language, I strongly believes that music can speak and express more than words, especially in times of conflict. One of my dream is that young musicians will help create a better, more peaceful world of healing and connection through the joy of music-making.
