Makeup by Maria Vela

I never wear makeup and was a bit nervous because I don’t like the cracked on look and prefer a more natural look. Maria knocked it out of the park, giving me exactly what I wanted for my event.

I chose Maria to do my makeup for an important event. I was a bit hesitant, because I found her on here; however, from the very beginning I could tell that she loved what she did and was a true professional. She asked all the right questions before the event, and gave me tips on what to do prior to the event to ensure that my makeup would last all day! The day of the event, she did not disappoint! She had already asked me for ideas on what I wanted, and she immediately went to work. She took her time, and you can tell she self-corrects as she goes along. She knows what is working and what isn't. Due to the circumstances of the event, we were working in a "unique" space, but she made it work! She brings everything she needs. One of the things that stood out to me was how clean she was. I dislike the idea of getting my makeup done because I never know whether tools and makeup is properly cleaned after each use - but Maria had all of her makeup organized, clean, and stored in a way that says "I love what I do, and I stand by my work". By the time I looked in the mirror, I was SUPER pleased!

Maria also coordinate my hair stylist (Gabby). Gabby was such a sweetheart and my hair looked really good. She took what I wanted in consideration, although at the end my hair ended up being a little different than what I was expecting, it was still great and lasted all day. Both makeup and hair lasted all day! Other girls who had their makeup and hair done by other people did not have the same luck. So this is something I really appreciated!

I wouldn't hesitate for a second to book Maria for any other event; I am a fan! :)
