Makena

A soulful mix of recognizable cover songs from multiple eras, sometimes with a unique twist. A very engaging performance of classic rock songs and oldies, with a drop of pop mixed in. Songs in a typical set include artists like: The Eagles, The Beatles, Journey, Elton John, Billy Joel, Fleetwood Mac, Kenny Chesney, Pink Floyd, Kacey Musgraves, Chris Stapleton, Bruno Mars, Lynyrd Skynyrd, Harry Styles, Billie Eilish, Van Morrison.

Makena is a soulful vocalist and plays piano and guitar. Piano is his main instrument. He plays a wide variety of covers spanning several decades of hits and artists. From pop, classic rock, a little blues, a touch of country, and more, his set list never disappoints.

Makena began performing professionally in 2021 and has built a following in San Diego and North County.
He has performed in multiple venues, private parties, corporate events, and public spaces in San Diego, Carlsbad, and Encinitas, Coronado, La Jolla, and Beverly Hills.

In 2022, Makena was named one of the 25 Most Remarkable Teens in San Diego.
In 2023, Makena was runner up in the Old Mission Rotary's San Diego's Got Talent competition.
