As the entertainment, I will come prepared with the songs and music requested, a possible Opera encore, and an elegant/classy/sassy/professional outfit, fit for your event. If you'd prefer that I chose the songs for your event, you can give me an idea of which genre and I will create a set list for your occasion.

My repertoire consists of Pop, R&B, Jazz, Broadway, Opera, and even a little bit of Country, so if you have a request or a favorite song, go for it! I LOVE to entertain and interact with my audience!
I am people person and I genuinely care about who I sing for and what music means to them.

Makeda Rose began singing at the age of three; singing several genres of music including Broadway, R&B, Jazz and Pop. By the age of eleven, Rose had transitioned into the wonderful world of Opera music under the direction of the Baltimore Modell Lyric Opera House where she was trained in opera, theatre, and dance. Simultaneously, Rose began writing original songs at age fifteen. To date, Rose has written over 75 professional Pop/R&B songs & has 13 years professional training in Opera & Theatre.

Rose accredits her passion for Culture and her Language skills in Italian, French, German, Korean, & Ukrainian to her operatic background and her Jamaican American roots. Her love of music goes beyond vocal having trained in Piano, Guitar, and Flute.

Makeda Rose is known for her velvet tone, musical versatility, and ability to sing music from Vocal Divas such as Whitney Houston, Mariah Carey, Aretha Franklin, Etta James, Ella Fitzgerald, Celine Dion, Anita Baker, Amy Winehouse, Yolanda Adams, Beyonce, and more.
Rose's vocal range spans five octaves which she credits to her Opera and Jazz training.
Her profound emotional emphasis in each song, often brings audiences to tears.

A recent graduate, Makeda Rose earned her Bachelors degree in Vocal Performance and Operatic studies at Azusa Pacific University in Los Angeles.

In August 2019, Makeda began professionally working for Norwegian Cruise Lines as a Principal singer/dancer in the Broadway sensation, “After Midnight”, working alongside famed singers/actresses: Melba Moore(Purlie), and Sharon Wilkins("I, Robot", "Maid in Manhattan").
Rose sang the role of Creole in which she astonished audiences with her passionate Creole Love Call.

Currently Makeda Rose is working on her first album, and continues to perform in TV/Film and Theatre.
