Magic by Mattias Zahn

I provide strolling Close-Up card magic. No stage necessary.

I roam around your event space, performing expert sleight-of-hand magic for your guests, up close and personal. This style of magic -unlike a traditional magic show- allows me to tailor each performance to each person, bringing spontaneity, laughter, and astonishment at the exact right moments. That in-the-moment experience is what I'm passionate about.

Perfect for cocktail hours at weddings, social hours at corporate events, or that "it" factor at your next party.

Turn down time at your event into the moment your guests can't stop talking about.

HI, I'm Mattias!

I'm passionate about real people, real connection, and the magic that happens when those two meet. I've spent over a decade honing my ability to bring that magic to life with laughter, wonder, and world class card magic.

I've been a proud Iowan all my life, and I now live in Urbandale with my wife. I got into magic when I was 12 years old and haven't looked back.

Things I love: People (my wife most especially), Music, Disc Golf, the Baltimore Ravens, My Church in Grimes, Thriller Movies, Playing Basketball, Quesabirria Tacos from Flame Cantina, etc...

My favorite events to perform for: Weddings, Galas, and Corporate Events/Networking events.

The easiest performer you've ever worked with.

• No lights or sound equipment.
• No chair set-up and tear down.
• No trying to wrangle a room of partying people to sit down and watch a performance.

Wherever your guests are, that's where I go. I fit right into your event schedule, breaking the ice while people are arriving, connecting people over cocktails, laughing right along with those last few guests who aren't ready for the fun to be over yet.
