December 30, 2018She will initially give you a form to sign which states that her deposit is non-refundable; however, as a company in the customer service industry, I think it is very courteous if you can be understanding to your client, especially if they are going through unforeseen circumstances resulting in the cancellation of their wedding! I would have appreciated a partial refund for my deposit but she did not provide any refund!
My experience with this company was very negative and I am solely sharing my own experience! others may have had a different experience with Luxe Monroe.

November 20, 2018Hired Luxe Monroe originally for my event and paid a deposit; however, unfortunately, my event got canceled due to some family issues about 1 year before the actual event. And although I had been very transparent with the manager, and she knew exactly why my event is being canceled she refused to pay any part of my deposit back! she literally took the whole money which was 50% of the entire cost of her service for doing about 1-5% of the work! She is nice at first but very un-accommodating! I do not recommend her at all.

Hi Zara,
I'm sorry you feel this way and again I am sorry you had to cancel your wedding. However as stated on my contract that you signed, deposits are non-refundable. As to the amount of work I did let's recall the specifics: the wedding was intially in Atlantic City,NJ where I originally researched and contacted venues on your behalf. Secondly, the location changed to Las Vegas where I then researched over twelve different venues, contacted them and prepared a formal comparison proposal showcasing 4 different venues. Furthermore, I prepared a budget sheet, a vision board, and 3 alternate invitation options. I also made myself available for phone conversations, meetings, etc at your disposal to discuss and modify all details previously mentioned plus more. Then you changed the location one last time to Vancouver, Canada where I researched vendors and created a design plan. Lastly, I held the date for you until you formally canceled whereas I had other clients inquire on that date and I passed on them only to now have your event canceled. Now I know we pride ourselves on our great work however not even Luxe Monroe can do all of that in one hour! Now I hate you had to cancel your wedding due to situations outside of my control but this is just business and that's why when you asked for the deposit back I referred you back to the contract you signed. Going forward I hope you have better luck in the planning process for any event and pray that you and your husband have a blessed union. Best of luck!
