I will provide the perfect background music for your event, with tasteful jazz piano selections—mostly drawing from the rich catalog of jazz standards, with a focus on easy-listening swing tunes & relaxed ballads.

If certain songs are desired, please let me know, and I will do my best to accommodate whenever possible.

INSTRUMENT / SETUP:
If the venue is equipped with a piano—which is well maintained and decently in-tune—I would certainly use the furnished instrument. I love discovering the unique character that each piano & venue has, and creating music that authentically fits each space! (Portable keyboard rig is available if needed.) **When submitting your event details, please indicate whether a furnished piano will be available for your event, or if a portable keyboard will be required.**

Luke has been playing piano since age 7 (since 1999).

Classically trained, he eventually found his way to jazz and graduated from UW-La Crosse with degrees in Jazz Piano Performance and Music Theory/Composition in 2014. He has worked in the La Crosse area for almost a decade, having played with the La Crosse Jazz Orchestra, 3rd Relation Jazz Quartet, various pit orchestras, and at many bars/restaurants including The Waterfront, The Charmant, Starlite Lounge, and The Root Note. Over those years, he's focused in on solo piano as his true niche: creating music that establishes a classy & calm atmosphere.

In addition to performing, he has composed for local theatre productions by Wonderstruck Theatre Company ("The Elephant Speaks Jazz") and the La Crosse Public Library ("Dark La Crosse Stories"). These experiences have bolstered his ability to adapt to any situation and tailor every performance to the unique needs of each event.

I can perform successfully at most any venue, in either scenario:

1) Piano at Venue

As long as the piano is...
a) In decent condition (pedals work, no keys stick, etc.)
b) In decent tune (has been tuned within the past 4 months)

...I will be happy to perform on a venue's furnished piano! (Acoustic, un-amplified)

2) Portable Setup: I have a keyboard and stereo amplifier that is perfect for small and medium-sized rooms. With this setup, I require a 3-pronged outlet and, if possible, an armless chair (to hold the amplifier). Corner areas work best, but I can make any placement work to fit the venue's layout.
