A Virginia native, Haefner was raised on the candid tunes of the Northeastern folk scene, all the while absorbing the blues stylings of the Southern fingerpickers he grew up around. Nowadays, his background as a classically trained pianist, guitarist, and composer gives rise to his unique approach to writing, performing, and recording popular music. Drawing from the stylings of writers like Chris Smither, Jim Croce, and Tom Paxton, Haefner injects every concert with his youthful, yet well-traveled voice.
