February 4, 2026Kind, Professional, and Beautiful Music for my Wedding!
Luciano was a life saver for my wedding. The musician we’d hired for it got sick, and told me about 2 days before the wedding that they were no longer able to do it. We contacted Luciano, and had a short conversation about what kind of music we wanted, including a specific song if at all possible from Lord of the Rings. He didn’t know it, but within the day, sent us a recording of him playing the song on. Overall, extremely impressed, and overwhelmingly thankful.

What to expect
Luciano Marazzo is a classical guitarist whose repertoire spans centuries—from the refined intricacies of Renaissance and Baroque masters like Leopold Weiss and J.S. Bach to the vibrant, emotive works of contemporary composers such as Astor Piazzolla and Andrew York. While he explores a broad spectrum of styles, Luciano is especially drawn to the music of J.S. Bach, Argentine composers like Piazzolla, and folkloric pieces from the countryside, including the heartfelt works of Eduardo Falú. With over two hours of memorized repertoire and exceptional sight-reading skills, Luciano is known for quickly assimilating new works with precision and expression. His solo repertoire includes works by Mauro Giuliani, Francisco Tárrega, Federico Moreno Torroba (whose vocal pieces he also performs), Filippo Gragnani, Agustín Barrios Mangoré, and Heitor Villa-Lobos.
Luciano thrives in collaborative settings. He has performed extensively in duos, trios, and quartets, including Eduardo Angulo’s 8 Estampas for guitar quartet. Among his favorite collaborations are those with violinists, where the interplay of timbres and expressive dialogue create a rich musical experience. He currently performs in a violin and guitar duo featuring works by Piazzolla, Monti (Csárdás), and Vivaldi. In addition to his instrumental work, Luciano brings unique insight to the art of vocal accompaniment. As a classically trained tenor, he understands the vocal instrument intimately and uses the guitar to sensitively support and enhance singers in performance—making him a sought-after collaborator in both solo and ensemble settings.
About
Luciano Marazzo is a classically trained lyric tenor and classical guitarist whose life’s focus is music as a complete concept as performance, education, philosophy merge. With deep roots in bel canto and a love for the expressive depth of guitar, his concerts blend the elegance of Italian belcanto, the storytelling of lieder, and the intimacy of solo guitar works. As a published author, Luciano explores music not just as art throug coaching, but as a discipline that reveals character, truth, and beauty. His upcoming work, Music in the Artificial Inferno, is an ambitious ethnomusicological exploration of music in our digital age.
He is also the founder of Ascoltando inc, a nonprofit dedicated to making music accessible to underserved communities, supporting veterans with hearing loss, and promoting music education through live events and cultural outreach. The Online Music Guild, is an Ascoltado project that presents a global stage for artists to share their voice and vision. Luciano’s work is fueled by a singular focus: to create, to connect, and to inspire—one note, one student, and one listener at a time.

Influences and inspiration
🎸 Classical Guitar Influences
My guitar journey has been shaped by a blend of soulful poets and technical masters.
At the top of my list are David Russell and Sergio Assad — two artists who combine impossible precision with warmth and storytelling. From there, I’ve drawn inspiration from Atahualpa Yupanqui, whose earthy simplicity reminds me that one note played with truth can speak louder than a hundred played fast.
I’ve also studied and admired the elegance of Andrés Segovia, the lyricism of Julian Bream, and the expressive phrasing of Manuel Barrueco. From Mauro Giuliani to Agustín Barrios Mangoré, from Heitor Villa-Lobos to Astor Piazzolla, I’ve found endless color and rhythm in their works.
When I need a dose of fire, I turn to Paco de Lucía, Vicente Amigo, or Aniello Desiderio; when I need peace, I listen to John Williams, Eduardo Fernández, or Roland Dyens.
My sound ultimately lives at the intersection of poetry and precision — shaped by the European classical school, flavored by South American soul, and polished with modern nuance.
🎤 Vocal Influences
As a lyric tenor, I’m inspired by singers who understood not just technique, but emotion as art.
Alfredo Kraus taught me refinement; Mario Del Monaco taught me power; Luciano Pavarotti taught me joy. From Jonas Kaufmann I learned intensity and control, and from Andrea Bocelli, the importance of sincerity — to sing not only for perfection, but for connection.
I’ve been deeply influenced by the passion of Maria Callas and the radiant tone of Anna Netrebko, as well as the majestic presence of Russian baritones like Dmitri Hvorostovsky — whose voice carried both velvet and steel.
Other inspirations include Plácido Domingo, José Carreras, Cecilia Bartoli, Montserrat Caballé, and Renée Fleming — each a reminder that the voice is not just sound, but soul in motion.
Together, these artists have shaped how I perform — whether I’m singing a Verdi aria, a sacred piece, or a timeless Italian song.
