Her voice carried so much grace and emotion that you could feel her warmth fill the auditorium. The position of her heart while performing is a gift and I have no doubt that it touches any audience she is in front of, as it did for me and my family that day. October 27, 2024Our country club invited Dayela to Ghana to come and perform and she was extremely professional, so lively and had the crowd absolutely awestruck. It was wonderful watching her perform to esteemed audiences who gathered to catch a glimpse of her. From the way she interacted with us when she was performing, to the way she explained each pieces she was performing left us in utter excitement.
I can truly to say that I’ll love to see someone be like her and give us that same energy that filled the room. Such an amazing personality.

Dayela Lima is a 24 year old Cameroonian-American Young Artist, and Travel Content Creator ((link hidden)m on Insta & TikTok) and one of the few Cameroonian opera singers on the internet. As a graduate of Shorter University, she has a degree in Vocal Performance. In 2022, she made her debut in her first fully staged opera, in the role of Angelica in Suor Angelica. She has attended opera programs such as Opera Viva in Italy (2019), and the International Performing Arts Institute in Germany (2020, 2021, 2022).
Her repertoire spans both opera, musical theater, church music, classical music, and jazz.
Beyond her theatrical endeavors, Dayela has enriched her musical journey through church performances, as well as travel. She just concluded her gap year of international travel and performance, having sung in five different African countries.
Dayela is a Masters student at Georgia State University, and will receive her Masters in Music with a focus on Vocal Performance/Opera. Ascending to new heights of artistic excellence, she aims to leave an indelible mark on the world, with her God-given gift of music!
Dayela's passion for creating beauty is deeply inspired by her knowledge that she was beautifully created by The Lord our Creator (Psalm 139:14-16).
