Our attendees enjoyed Ms. Lions' preconference address. She was a pleasure to work with; understood our needs; delivered a presentation that was well received and provided our audience with skills and usable tactics for their professional development.
I first heard Elizabeth Lions in February 2013, speaking at webinar hosted by IEEE. She provided practical, career-oriented job search skills with a personal flair that resonated with the audience. Despite a tech glitch (an open speaker phone connection), she was able to overcome the hurdle while maintaining her presentation and connection to the rest of the attendees.
Elizabeth is a true professional. She volunteered to train the Texas Veterans Commission Employment staff two years in a row. She is dedicated to helping help Veterans find long term and meaningful employment. Her outstanding training and advice has helped our Veteran Employment coaches understand the job market, employment recruiter’s point of view and how to prepare returning Veterans for the civilian workforce.
Many say they want to help Veterans...Elizabeth does help Veterans!
The first time I heard Elizabeth speak was at a Job-Seekers meeting and I was attracted to her immediately. She is a very dynamic and energetic speaker. She gave great examples and showed genuine interest in her audience. I heard her a few times after that. I would definitely go to hear her speak again if the opportunity presented itself.

Influences & Inspiration
Surviving cancer and writing my first book had a major impact on my life and my work. My first book Recession Proof Yourself was born out of fear of my own mortality, knowing I might have something greater to leave behind. I had spent years talking with executives and put those conversations along with solid teachings in my first book.
In 2012, I Quit! Working For You Isn't Working For Me was launched for the survivors of recession that were having career issues and struggled to find another job. What makes my work unique is that the process I teach is an inward journey.
Today in 2014 my topics are on leadership and career management. Some are for women audiences.
