Lindsey's Elegant Solo Violin

Lindsey is a versatile violinist, who can play wide range of classical and pop music. She is very experienced in providing ceremony music for weddings and background music for all manner of formal events.

Currently a member of the Thunder Bay Symphony Orchestra (on leave), violinist Lindsey Herle also regularly plays with the Canadian Opera Company Orchestra and Hamilton Philharmonic Orchestra. An alumna of both the National Youth Orchestra and the National Academy Orchestra, she recently participated in the National Arts Centre Orchestra Mentorship Program in 2022 and 2023. She is also a founding member of There Is Room Duo, a violin and piano duo that is committed to performing works by underrepresented composers, as well as including popular favourites in their concerts, delighting audiences of all ages and walks of life.

Lindsey holds a Bachelor of Music from the University of Victoria, a Performance Certificate from Mount Royal Conservatory, and a Master of Music from the University of Ottawa.

For outdoor events, there must be some kind of cover to protect from sun or rain.

A solo, acoustic violin does have a volume limit. It is not possible for me to amplify my instrument or use a microphone.

A solo violinist does not take up that much room, but it is important that there is some space around the performance area.
