Lila Buffet Styling

We decide to host a simple wedding in our backyard with two months to prepare! We knew our backyard venue was perfect so finding an equally perfect caterer was key. We found Lila’s Buffet Styling website and were impressed with the quality and selections available. Each menu was incredibly creative and the reviews were glowing with approval. Upon meeting with Lily, we knew immediately we had chosen the best! She listened to our ideas and helped create the perfect menu.

When our big day arrived it was unseasonably hot and humid for June in Minnesota, but they were totally prepared and organized. Their team worked seamlessly in our kitchen and in the yard creating the perfect space. The bartender worked tirelessly outside. He fostered a communal atmosphere—keeping our guests happy and hydrated...much more than just a service.

The appetizers were unique and delicious. The entrees and sides were cooked to perfection and truly amazing. And the desserts…OMG…they were to die for! My advice, over order on the desserts! In fact, over order on it all!! You will not be disappointed.

Lila Buffet Styling catered a party at my home on Christmas Lake, last July, and I couldn't have been happier - delicious food, elegant presentation, and fantastic service - all at a reasonable expense. Early in the planning process, I realized that if I wanted to enjoy hosting, I had to hire professionals. It's a big hike from the lake, where everyone was gathering, to our house (over 75 steps up a steep hill), so it's impossible to quickly pop in to the house for more appetizers, ice, etc. Plus, I'd already done enough work to pull off the event.

Working with Melissa Sanchez, my contact for the event, was a delight. I'm totally obsessive and Melissa happily responded to my many questions and emails. I was blown away by how accommodating and pleasant she was. Special dietary requests? No problem. Dispenser for white wine? Done. I appreciated her guidance when we were figuring out the menu - she's very smart about how much food to order, so there's enough, but not too much. I never felt that profits were coming before my needs and budget, which is fairly rare when when dealing with caterers.

We served appetizers and a buffet dinner. Everyone at the party raved about the food and set-up. In between treks to and from the lake, Melissa also managed to wait on, and charm my 86 year old mother, who was stationed at the house all night. The whole thing felt like a spa treatment. Thanks to them, I had a blast. One of my guests described the evening as a midsummer night's dream, and the magic wouldn't have been possible without Lila Buffet Styling.
