Isn't it every young woman's dream to have a fairytale wedding? Arriving in grand style in a horse-drawn carriage at her wedding and reception is the perfect way to make the fairytale come true! Our wedding carriage services may be utilized in many different ways, depending on individual needs, be it transport to the ceremony and/or the reception, a ride away from the reception, guest rides, shuttle service for the wedding party, or any combination of these things. We do whatever we can to make your day as special as possible!
There are two carriages which are used primarily for weddings: the white vis-à-vis with white seats, or the white vis-à-vis with red seats. The white, maroon or black surreys, normally used for tours of Lexington, may also be used, either in addition to, or in place of the vis-à-vis carriages. In any case, the beautifully groomed horses and well-dressed, professional carriage drivers will be at your service.
Your florist may add flowers to any of the carriages to add that extra special touch, and create the perfect opportunity for pictures perfect photos!
Established in 1985, the Carriage Company's initial purpose was to support the Historic Downtown District of the city by giving narrated tours through the business district, the adjacent college campuses, and a portion of the historic residential area. Over the years, LCC has evolved and expanded its operation to include weddings in Lexington and the surrounding areas of the Shenandoah Valley, Lynchburg, Roanoke and beyond, as well as participating in local parades, festivals and special seasonal events.
Always delighted to take part in special occasions, LCC is proud to be of service to many brides, grooms, wedding parties and guests. Our carriage services also provide an ideal setting for romantic proposals, as well as birthday and anniversary celebrations
All travel routes for the horses and carriage must be approved before the event, with no 4 (+) lane highways, no high-speed travel areas.
We limit the distance that the horses and carriage may travel from point to point to no more than 2 miles.
Under no circumstances will the horses and carriage operate in the vicinity of any type of pyrotechnics (sparklers, firecrackers, fireworks, etcetera) or excessive noise makers.
