Lenny and the D

An energetic alt-rock group hailing from Texas, Lenny and the D is a funky group of musician friends. While a majority of their music could be inspired by alternative music of the 90s and 00s, Lenny and the D have a hard time staying in one genre for too long.

Started in early 2020, the lineup has seen many different changes with a rotating cast of talented musicians from the East Texas area. Max (the group's founder and frontman) is a lifelong musician with a passion for the slightly different. With quirky, eclectic stage presence and a strange sense of humor, he brings an unusual flair to both the performance and the music. Him and his brother, Jake (co-founder and bassist) make up the core of the band, while adding other members to flesh out the sound for live shows.

While the namesake may sound confusing, The "D" can refer to anything or anyone in particular: what started as an inside joke between founding members (all of which had D as an initial in their last name) has evolved to a physical representation of the letter being carried to each live show, while the meaning behind what it stands for changing every night.

Currently, Lenny and the D is celebrating the release of their first full length album, as well as actively playing local shows and planning for an upcoming regional tour.
