Fun, unique, and classy - those are the words seen often in reviews for the Left Coast Quintet. One of San Diego's premier musical ensembles, LCQ is a creative and stylish choice to develop the ambiance of your celebration.
Many of our clients at first request a string quartet, harp, or guitar for their events, but the wind quintet or trio available through LCQ is an amazing alternative that brings classical flare to celebrations, while also boasting a library that is sure to please all of your guests.
We are happy to work closely with you on musical selections, budgets, & special requests.
Left Coast wind quintet was the perfect accompaniment to our daughter’s Latin Mass wedding. We booked them only one week prior to the event. Dan Weiss the leader was great to work with, very good communication, and he brought his own umbrellas to sit under. All in all, this quintet truly enriched our ceremony!
The Left Coast Quintet is one of the most unique music groups in San Diego. I've heard them play at a house warming party before. A very 60's mod affair with a Breakfast at Tiffany's theme. They can adapt and arrange all sorts of music. Let's face it, who hears live music any more? Being able to hire a talented group of musicians to play a wide variety of music is fantastic! I'm getting married soon and plan on hiring them to play for our ceremony. If you have a need to class up any event or holiday party, I highly recommend this group!!!

We are a pretty laid back group of professional musicians who provide an amazing ambiance for your event. From the very start, you'll find us to be pleasant to work with and easy to communicate. Whether you are hiring us for a wedding, a corporate event, or a community concert, we will be clear on what we are going to provide, what time we'll show up, and if there are any needs.
We have a brief contract and retainer that holds our date, and final payment for booking us is due one month prior to our performance. We will custom tailor the music to the mood you are trying to set - if it's a holiday party we'll come with lots of cheerful and recognizable pieces, or for a wedding we can work on beautiful music that will fill the air with a sense of joy and happiness.
Day of the event, we show up early to check in and set up, and then it's performance time! We bring our tablets with us so if there is a last minute request for different music, we can easily change things up. Our main goal is to make people happy, so if the opportunity comes up to take requests for music that guests want to hear, we will see if it's in our library.
After events, we really like building relationships and want to ensure that we are hired for future events that you might have!
Hi! We are the Left Coast Quintet, here to bring some amazing music and elevate the ambiance at weddings and events in the San Diego region! We have had the opportunity to perform at some incredible venues, including beaches, atop skyscrapers, and at gorgeous wineries, and people tend to call us because of our unique ability to break down the traditional perceptions of stuffy classical music. We are a down to earth group of professionals who strive to offer a fun way to experience great music and performance.
We offer a large music library, including favorite themes from Hollywood movies, jazz and upbeat swing, custom arrangements of pop music, holiday favorites, ballroom dances, and traditional classical repertoire. We aren't the typical ensemble that plays the same canned stuff, we are hired by unique people who want something different - be it the distinctive full sound of wind instruments, the novel ability to perform whimsical movie themes or smooth jazz licks, or the daring innovatives who want their guests to be amazed by something they've never seen before!
The Left Coast Quintet has brought live music to functions from large groups of over 1,500 people, to intimate settings of 25 music lovers, and we look forward to speaking to you about what we can do to make your event unique, special, and meaningful. Our goal is to include you in our musical family- you aren't just hiring a wind quintet to perform some songs one time, you're welcoming a group who will provide the soundtrack to an amazing day in your life.
For most gigs, we need 5 chairs with no armrests, proximity to an outlet if amplification is necessary, and shelter from the elements.
