Great Entertainment at 90th Birthday Party

Leanne sang at my mother's 90th birthday party at Avanti Senior Living. My mother and the residents and guests attending the party really enjoyed Leanne's singing. It was nice to see my mother really perk up when she heard some old favorites. Leanne has a great voice and was able to sing great songs.

Writing a concise bio of a life-time career in music is like trying to pour an entire Sea into a thimble! There are SO many things, people and events which influenced a love of music and its performance over a lifetime. Anyone with a similar career would probably consider themselves lucky to have been influenced by all of them — too many to list, yet giving thanks for each and every one. I am grateful that many of my musical experiences have held such richness.

Growing up, my Mother and I loved to watch old black & white movies, particularly stories of famous singers, Broadway, and bands and their Singers -- such as Ella Fitzgerald, Billy Holiday, The Sassy Sarah Vaughn, The Andrews Sisters, Frank Sinatra, Peggy Lee, etc. I could not get enough of it, and for a time, I thought I had been born too late!

But at age 13, I began my own career entertaining people with music — starting out in the church choir, where the leader asked me to perform Solos, and then the next year finding myself singing on air for
regular broadcasts on AM radio. Then, a few years later, I was providing solo work in Italian for television advertising in Switzerland, where I lived for two years.

Age: EARLY - MID 20’s. Classical.
Classical training (Zurich, Switzerland and Houston) allowed me to become a regular member of a Major Market Symphony Chorus for over Five years. Through that group, I was asked to perform as a guest Soprano for the Joffrey Ballet in an off-stage women’s trio, while the dancers danced their beautiful story our front. It was fascinating to witness the dancers as they made their exits from the stage to the back-stage,, grabbing their feet and legs, swearing profanities as the pain and discomfort grew! The realities of a back-stage ballet production at the Joffrey enlightened me as to the difficulty and rigor it took to create something, seeming to the audience to be so effortless and beautiful!!

During this time period, held a Staff position as Soloist for a large Catholic Church for about two years, while continuing Classical development and study.

Age: MID TO LATE 20’s brought me to a renewed awareness of Big Band Music, Jazz, Soul, Light Blues and the beautiful rhythms of Bossa Nova. At roughly 26, the “Girl Singer” role was offered to me by three different Big Bands, and I found myself singing and grooving to the sounds of Glenn Miller, Tommy Dorsey, Harry James, Stan Kenton, etc.

From there I began performing with many Jazz Trios, Quartets and Quintets (some my own), which I have done for many audiences of wonderful folks, along with Inspirational and Semi-Classical Music for Ceremonies and Celebrations, for much of my life up to the present.

The music I've been known for over many years now, includes the experiences of everything done to this point, and it makes up a rich variety -- whether you are wanting JAZZ, Pop, Blues, Country, American Songbook or a MIX -- my/our goal is for it to be presented in a way that sets a Classy and Entertaining tone for your event, delightful to the audience -- and it is all directed by your preferences and tastes.
We'll give our Best Effort to make your EVENT Everything You Imagined!

when she leans against the piano, red hair shining under the spotlight, and invokes
romance with a sultry blues song." Travel Host Magazine
