Lauretta Ali "Lali Productions"
Overview
I am the author of Survival of the Fittest...One Child's Life in the Foster Care System. It is a nonfiction account of the time I spent in the 1950s foster care system. I have been an advocate for youth aging out of the foster care system and I am a mentor with an agency.
My experiences within the system vary. My brother and I were the children of an unmarried couple. My father married my mother's best friend and that sent us into the system. Yet, my story is one of survival. I am the artistic director of my own production company and recently premiered my movie (red carpet) Bullying: A Shameful Dilemma. I am a survivor. My book has enjoyed great reviews. Please consider me.

What to expect
We are able to screen a 30 minute version of our documentary movie Bullying: A Shameful Dilemma. Muhammad and I will conduct a question and answer period directly after the screening. We would like to be able to sell the full 90 minute DVD to any interested parties. We also end with a forum to discuss resolutions to the issue of bullying and to offer further screenings.
I would be able to discuss my book, Survival of the Fittest...One Child's Life in the Foster Care System. I also share chapters from my book. I also reveal the truths of my surviving the system in the 1950s and my work as a mentor for youth in the system. I would like to be able to sell copies of the book to any interested parties. All books will be signed and autographed by me.
