February 19, 2025Laurent presented at the Sinclair Community College Martin Luther King, Jr. Day celebration this year (2025). His spoken work performance touched on the humanity of Dr. King, who is so revered in history, but who was also a human. Reminding us of Dr. King's humanity and human-ness, helped all of us in the audience see how we, too, could contribute to the betterment of human society through our own small personal actions and interactions. His message and delivery were so meaningful and well received that many attendees sent notes thanking us for bringing Laurent to campus, and complimenting him on his performance. We are looking forward to our next engagement with him!
