Lara Garner, Harpist/Pianist/String Ensemble

Lara was a professional. She arrived on time, and played beautiful music. The harp was a perfect addition to our Holiday party, She is multi talented and also played the piano we have in the house. This was a lovely treat and added a nice switch in the middle of the party.

Lana played harp at our senior living community holiday dinner and was a huge hit. The residents were so impressed and she greatly enhanced the ambiance of the evening.

Lara was great to communicate and plan with. She plays lovely music and we appreciate her flexibility in setting up in the best location.

We hired Lara to play at our son's garden wedding in our home in October. Lara arrived on time and was even open to me playing alongside her for one piece (A Thousand Years) as the ceremony started. She provided beautiful background music that wafted through the garden as our guests arrived and she did an amazing job of adding more depth to the song we played together as I, a beginner, early-intermediate player, messed up one measure and she flawlessly covered for me until I could get back on track. Lara was communicative, prompt, and very talented on the harp. It was a corporate staff meeting wherein I also asked her to also stage a moment of quasi rageful tension between the speaker and her music, which she agreed to in spite of not being an actor. It went very swimmingly. She was also asked to improvise music to a meditation then a corporate natured chat. She certainly exceeded my expectations. I had also forgotten how cosmically relaxing the harp is.

I had Lara play piano for my 60th birthday party. We had a wonderful time! She played a wide variety of musical styles and was sure to include all my special requests. She was the final component that made the evening so magic and memorable! Plus, Lara is friendly, accommodating, professional and charges a reasonable fee. I highly recommend her to anyone who wants to make their event special! I just had to laugh when Lara ended our evening with a seemingly effortless Haydn concerto then held up the music and said "that's a lot of notes!" Indeed it was a lot of notes: it looked like someone dumped a gallon on ants on the sheet music! All I can say is I'm glad I paid her by the hour and not by the note! Brava Lara!
