Lanier McKinney is a native of Huntsville, Alabama. He is a multi-talented professional dancer, choreographer, model and has credits as an actor in numerous films. Although he enjoyed dancing his whole life he began his professional career in Atlanta, Georgia in 2010. He went from being a freelance artist to a globally booked professional dancer. His most notable highlight and the longest-lasting opportunity was a lead dancer for the legendary superstar & recording artist Mariah Carey. He also assisted with choreography on her Asia tour in 2018, and performed as her solo disco roller skater. He also assisted with choreography on her Caution World Tour in 2019 as well. His most recent appearance was with Doja Cat at Coachella 2022 as a core dancer.

His other accomplishments include Beyonce Knowles in “Black is King,” Rita Ora featured on the Boy Band and Teen Choice Awards; Mary J Blige and ASAP Rocky BET Experience; P. Diddy on the BET Hip Hop Awards; Isabella Moner “Papi”, Katy Perry; Betty Who; and Wiz Khalifa.

His acting career can be seen in the award winning films; Bessie featuring Queen Latifa; Bolden; Hunger Games; and he was a fitness model for the Black Panther movie. He premiered in TV shows and Commercials for Netflix series Marlon; Drunk History; Crazy Ex Girlfriend.
Modeling accomplishments includes Ralph Lauren, New Balance, Macy’s, and Nappy Styles.

With over 10 years of experience in the entertainment industry. Lanier has officially started his own company, “Lanier McKinney 3nt.” which focuses on developing and mentoring up-and-coming talent seeking training and guidance in the industry.
