Lan Nguyen Photography

I am a native of Long Beach, California and have been photographing people, places, and events for over 7 years.

I studied at the Medill School of Journalism at Northwestern University for two years with the intent of becoming a photojournalist, but have since switched my course of study toward Education, with the goal of serving low-income youth. While photography no longer serves as my main occupation, I still love helping people capture memories.

Although I have experience posing people and am ready to compose a shot whenever needed, I absolutely LOVE capturing genuine, candid moments that portray emotions and human connection.

I am definitely a people's person, so if you hire me for an event, you won't have to worry about me getting in the way of your guests' experience! I am fluent in English (obviously), Vietnamese, and Spanish, so I can communicate with an array of people.
