As a performance poet, event producer, author, event hostess, creative writing workshop facilitator and advocate for quality creative expression, I am the ideal spoken word artist and/or hostess for your artistic event.
I have over 18 years of creative experience on a variety of stages performing and inspiring youth and adult audiences. I have a large social media presence and can market your event to approximately 9K potential audience members. I believe in the visual expansion of language and having fun with words!

About
LadyVee DaPoet is a Spoken Word Artist, Event Hostess, and Event Producer since 2005. Currently, she is the host of the Art Out Loud Open Mic Variety Show at Westview Maker Space every 2nd Saturday. She has featured on stages such as the former Java Monkey, Apache Cafe, City Winery-Atlanta, charity events for Lift Up Atlanta organization at Porter Sanford Theater and the former 'Poetic Moments' with Joyce Littel on V-103 radio. As keynote speaker for the NFSPS (National Federation of State Poetry Societies) Convention in Roswell, GA (June 2024) she inspired the audience with her speech "The Power of Poetry to Change Minds and Change Lives". She has recently won ATL's Hottest Spoken Word Artist award and has been featured in Spokenword Magazine and Brownstone Living Magazine.
LadyVee has expanded her creative offerings to virtual events as well. She is able to present a spoken word feature or creative inspiration workshop via Zoom, Facebook Live or Instagram Live. Catch her on Wednesdays as she co-hosts the 'Live from the BeatLab': News that Indie Artists can Use Show on Facebook Live with her husband, music producer CEO Allen Pough.
As an author, her most recent books are 'Inkblots on I-20: Reflective Poetry Collection by LadyVee DaPoet', 'Still Fabulous!!: Reclaiming your Inner Goddess after a Break Up" and "Eff the Pandemic, Let's Have a Baby!". All poetry collections are available on Amazon and LadyVee is available for book signings combined with featured poetry sets.

Influences and inspiration
My poetry influences are Maya Angelou, Langston Hughes, Nikki Giovanni, Sonya Sanchez, etc. I have a lot of creative friends that perform spoken word around Atlanta, GA and I am influenced by The Queen Sheba, Ed Mabrey, Papi Picasso, Lauren Doriahna, and others that are fearless when it comes to sharing their voice to inspire others.
