Loralee McGuirl is a Juno-nominated Canadian vocalist, multi-award-winning performer, and music educator based in Ontario’s Greater Golden Horseshoe. She is recognized for her exceptional versatility across classical and contemporary styles.
Loralee graduated from McMaster University with a Double Honours degree in Music and Fine Arts, and a Diploma in Vocal Performance. Classically trained, she has performed operatic repertoire alongside renowned mezzo soprano Jean Stillwell and was a finalist in the National Council Auditions for the Metropolitan Opera. She served as the Opera Ontario regional representative. Her performance career also includes sharing the stage with internationally celebrated artist Sarah Brightman, as well as distinguished Canadian musicians from the jazz, classical, and popular music worlds such as Guido Basso.
Equally at home in opera, classical crossover, jazz, soul, musical theatre, pop, and sacred music, Loralee is known for her expressive artistry and vocal range. She performs extensively as a soloist, lead vocalist, and featured guest artist in concerts, theatrical productions, and choral collaborations throughout Canada.
In addition to her performing career, Loralee brings over 20 years of experience as a music educator, vocal coach, and choir director. She is the founder of the vocal (link hidden), where she teaches voice and musicianship and has developed her own vocal pedagogy course.
