I put "variety performer" on my profile because I do all kinds of things!
But whatever, your need may be, I love to cater to exactly what you want, then I bring the cohesion, the fun and the funny! With kids, I'm their favorite auntie -- with teens, their cool best friend -- with adults, well,, their new comrade!

Here's what I can offer:

- Live Host/Emcee : Depending on your event, I can introduce acts onstage, interview people, lead games, dance contests, come in character, roasts, sponsor shout-outs, the list goes on.
- Physical Comedy / Actor : I love creating characters + acts - u name it!
- Comedy Improv : Solo or group
- Clown : this can be a classical clown (white face, red nose) or more expansive like a ridiculous/absurd act or character, physical comedy
- Costume Karaoke: I bring a karaoke system, costumes, props and wigs :) A favorite!
- STUNTDRIVER : My immersive electro-rock act. This can come in many forms. Solo or full band. It's quite interactive and conceptual. Watch videos on Youtube. Opened for Peaches recently.
- I also do this funny character called "The Influencer.' She has a faux product called "Nitecreme" which promises to disguise people's flaws. This is really fun, weird and takes people out of their shells!
- Costumed Kids' party Performer : One of my 1st jobs in LA. And I'm also an acting coach for kids so I;m highly comfortable leading games and what not with them.
- Immersive Performer : I can jump into aka create any world. Say the word!
- Variety Act : I can create an act specific to your event!
- Cover Singer : I can sing covers (or origninals) at your event with a guitar player :)

Originally from Austin Texas, Kym Priess is as Los Angeles-based interdisciplinary artist and genre-bender who takes no prisoners when it comes to the mediums she works in. She’s a pioneering comedic creator, fierce frontwoman, adventurous musician, song + screenwriter, captivating live host and actor. Her main project, STUNTDRIVER, is an interactive electro-rock project which debuted to sold-out crowds as a full-on immersive production aka living album experience in which the audience roamed thru a maze-like set with actors and a full band including John Avila (OingoBoingo) on bass. Since then the project has taken a band-like approach and most recently, Priess performed it solo when she opened for Peaches. The album “Saga” was released in 2020 and a new one is in the works.

Recent acting credits include: an AppleTV comedy with reality star/Billboard musician, Adam Barta, playing rising country star Tony Martinez’s crazy girlfriend in his video “Why You Gotta be Crazy?” and being the fun, jaded aunt in an upcoming short with Carmelita Hughes.

Priess’ work pushes boundaries, forms and comfort levels yet maintains a fun-loving, absurd and curious tone and has been seen in music venues, galleries, theaters, non-traditional locations and federal prisons in New York, LA, Amsterdam, San Francisco, Honolulu and Austin since the 1990s.

Priess has been described as “critical to the existence of the dragon in you” (ComeHereFloyd) and earned comparisons to Siouxsie Sioux and Joan Jett (LaBuzzBand’s Kevin Bronson). This discipline bender’s career took root in the NYU experimental theater world sparking theatrical, comedic, vivid works and a rock opera that was awarded “Best of the Fringe” (SF Fringe Festival). As a musician, Priess has written 300 songs (some on Vanderpump Rules, Siesta Key toured extensively , shared stages with Exene Cervenka and Fishbone and sings backup on William Shatner’s Spirit in the Sky. She plays bass, accordion, and keys but is mostly known for her dynamic vocal range. She also does her own stunts whenever she can.

When not creating, traveling or performing, Kym prefers to be tubing down a river.

For music and emcee gigs, a PA is imperative. I can provide one for an extra fee.
