Krystian

My name is Krystian Chiu, and I am a classically trained cellist! I studied at the Music Institute of Chicago Academy in high school, then pursued undergraduate and graduate studies at Indiana University and Rice University, respectively.

Now based in Palatine, Illinois, I am currently principal cellist of the Civic Orchestra of Chicago and have performed with the Chicago Symphony, Atlanta Symphony, Lyric Opera, and Grant Park Festival Orchestra. The cello has brought many awesome opportunities such as major music festivals and both a solo and orchestra debut at Carnegie Hall. I also teach privately.
