Krista White - Pianist

I customize what music I play for each event, so every performance is unique depending on what styles or specific decades of music the client would like emphasized on my set list. Clients can expect me to be easy to communicate with from start to finish, and I am able to answer questions and help make choices about the music based on my experience with other events if needed. I am very punctual, and always let clients know exactly when I will arrive for setup. You can expect me to be well dressed, thoroughly prepared, friendly, and attentive to any changes that may occur during the event so that the music can be adapted accordingly. I strive to create a positive experience for all at every event, helping to make memories and foster human connection through the experience of live music.

Krista has been playing piano for over 25 years, and holds a Master's degree in Piano Performance with Jazz Emphasis from California State University, Sacramento. Throughout her career, she has received training and gained professional experience in a variety of piano styles, including foundational classical technique and music reading, jazz piano arranging and improvisation, playing keyboards in an award winning wedding band, rehearsing and performing with choral groups as a piano accompanist, and even writing songs of her own as well as helping others bring their own songs to life with professional piano arranging and studio work.

With her varied and extensive background, she is able to customize her skill set to deliver exactly what is needed for each individual event, which has made her an in-demand event pianist in Sacramento and surrounding areas for many years. She has been well received by audiences of all ages and backgrounds, and loves working with each client to bring their live music vision to life to enhance and elevate the mood of every special occasion.

In addition to working solo, Krista has worked with a variety of ensembles including jazz combos, bands of all sizes and styles of music, as well as duos and trios featuring specific instruments. Whatever you have in mind, Krista is the musician with the experience and network of other professional musicians to make it happen.

If there is no piano on site, I am able to bring my own electric keyboard and PA system.

KORG SV-1
This is a modern electric keyboard with a beautiful vintage look, so I typically use this keyboard for events when I need a keyboard with weighted keys like a real piano. This keyboard both looks and sounds beautiful!

ROLAND FA-06
This is a smaller keyboard with some powerful features. I use this one for my One Man Band and Singing Pianist shows, since I am able to split the keyboard and get a bass and piano sound at the same time, creating a nice full instrumental sound. I also use this keyboard to run drum tracks and add more rhythmic energy to my performances.

YAMAHA STAGEPAS 1K mkII
This is a complete and powerful sound system, with the added bonus of not taking up much space in the performance area! It provides beautiful, clear sound for my live piano and vocal music, as well as the recorded music which I typically play while I am taking breaks between sets.

SENNHEISER E835
I love this microphone! I originally had a standard SM-58 microphone but I accidentally lost it on a gig, so I decided to make the best of the loss and upgrade to a better microphone. Best misfortune I've ever had! I'm a huge fan of this microphone, and recommend it to all singers.
