May 24, 2026We had a 70th birthday party for my sister. KJ has all types of music genres to choose from and we decided on 60’s and 70’s songs for her party. The music was great and had everyone up dancing! Sound system was perfect for our rented room. KJ also put on a trivia game show that was quite entertaining. Everyone still talks about that party! I'm a high energy, experienced host that can work in almost any setting, including outdoors. All of my equipment can work with internal power. It's all wireless (I do use a corded microphone to avoid feedback), with twin speakers that synchronize. If needed, I can bring my own table and chair.
I'm flexible in what needs to be done for an event or party. I can do music bingo, straight DJ time, and/or a game show during the same engagement. Most importantly, my reputation for being prompt, courteous, and reliable is unmatched.
Thanks for your interest in KJ Music Bingo & Game Shows. I have over 30 years of experience in broadcasting, over 10 years hosting game shows (I have three original titles), and my own music bingo library. Unlike most DJ's, I will provide (cash!) prizes for each music bingo round, which is around 4 prizes for a two-hour show. For parties, I can also add on popular extras like saran wrap ball (prizes can be customized for your event). If you need straight DJ work, that's fine too.
Although I normally work between Grand Rapids and Holland, I have done and would consider special events farther away. I'm also interested in a recurring music bingo assignment in just about any setting. Together, we can make your guests smile and remember a great time.
I don't really need anything! My two-speaker wireless setup has the main speaker on a table and the other on a special stand that can go anywhere within sync range (easily 50 feet with line of sight).
Outdoor performances are totally fine so long as my speakers aren't directly exposed to rain or snow. If either were likely, I might need sheltering for my speakers and laptop computer.
I do not provide lighting, but it doesn't bother me.

In October of 1975 I was a freshman in a small Michigan town called Cadillac. When I heard a rock band called KISS was coming to our school, I got a ticket from my english teacher ($4). Before the show, I waited in line with what seemed like the entire school population to get my face painted (Gene Simmons).
After that concert, held in our school gymnasium, my interest in music went from casual to very involved. I worked as a roadie for a local band, joined the Air Force for four years, then managed to find a job that involved broadcasting.
While in the Air Force, I lived in New England for almost 4 years and listened to lots of cutting-edge music coming out of Boston and elsewhere.
Acts that have influenced me are too numerous to list. I like almost everything.
