Kipp Purath

As a young child, I fondly remember my mom strumming out classics like “Thank God I’m a Country Boy”, “Puff the Magic Dragon”, and “House of the Rising Sun” on her folk guitar. She eventually stopped playing guitar, but not before she began to teach me with a promise that she would give me her guitar when I learned to play 20 songs by heart. What started off as drudgery eventually turned into a passion. People began to mistake my guitar—which I was incessantly strumming—for an extra appendage.

I have been playing, writing music, and leading worship gatherings for over 20 years. I recently released an folk worship album that is available on iTunes (Kipp and Joe: Psalms, Hymns and Spiritual Songs). I love playing and preforming and would love to play for your event.
