About

The Kids from Wisconsin is part of an entertainment tradition that goes back nearly 50 years to its beginnings as a musical production created for Wisconsin's talented youth back in 1969.

Today, the pride and passion that enlightened that early music, lives on through a Kids from Wisconsin Revue.

The Kids from Wisconsin performs a diverse repertoire of morale-boosting musical entertainment for audiences of all ages.

Performing live annually for more than 100,000 across Wisconsin and the Midwest, the Kids from Wisconsin presents top of the line entertainment with some of Wisconsin's most talented performers ages 15-20. The revue is produced in collaboration with some of this country's best writers, arrangers, and choreographers. Costumes are designed and created in Broadway style, adding to the already exciting performance.

We maintain a broad repertoire of music that includes the American favorites, big band, 50's- 80's classics, Motown, country, Broadway and current top hits, filling a two hour fully staged performance.

The KIDS perform at State and county fairs, community concerts, fundraisers for non-profit organizations such as Rotary, Lions, Kiwanis and other organizations, helping them to earn thousands of dollars for their organizations cause, and at the same time support Wisconsin's performing arts.

The Kids from Wisconsin, to this day, maintain a large presence at the Wisconsin State Fair with performances twice daily on a main stage.

Additional booking notes

The required performance area is:

an un-carpeted stage of 32' by 32' with an additional 4' of wing space on stage left and stage right, Wing space should be the same height as the stage. Any dimensions less than this could effect the quality of the performance. Please see page 2 of the 2015 tech rider for more information on staging.
Platform risers are optional upstage for the band. (See diagram and photos)
There should be unobstructed access to and from the wings or backstage to both sides of the stage. A backstage cross, either behind a curtain on stage or in a hallway, also is required.
Six separate 20 amp AC electrical circuits. These outlets should be isolated from all lighting controls, dimmers packs and electrical circuits containing florescent lights and electric motors.
If there is no guest engineer mix location, an area should be reserved in the seating area for the KIDS sound mixing console, approximately 2/3 back from the stage. This area should be approximately 9'x9', or 6 theater seats wide by 3 rows deep, and be located on an aisle. (See diagrams and photos)
The stage should be lit with a general wash of white light that covers the entire performance area. (See diagram)
A lighting plot is supplied to all venue contacts each year and will be located within our seasonal Technical Rider. A knowledgeable lighting technician, with authority and means to re-direct lighting fixtures, should be at the stage when KIDS arrive for setup. This person should check with KIDS Technical Director for lighting approval.
Two dressing rooms, close to the stage and large enough to accommodate 12 girls and 20 boys. Each dressing room should contain mirrors, clothing racks, chairs and adequate lighting.
The KIDS require stage/theater access approximately five (5) hours before show time. This time frame may change due to other activities that are planned such as meals or community outreach sessions.
Production and presentation of KIDS show is the sole and final responsibility of the KIDS producer or authorized representative. Show length is approximately 1 hour, 45 minutes with a 15-minute intermission.
The KIDS provide their own sound system, sound engineers and stage props. All setup and tear-down work is done by members of the KIDS organization.
