I understand funeral timing is often set on short notice, and I keep my response time fast and my presence unobtrusive until it's time to play.

My repertoire spans traditional Scottish marches and sets, Irish tunes, military and service hymns, patriotic pieces, and classic slow airs — including "Scotland the Brave," "Highland Cathedral," "Amazing Grace," "Going Home," and dozens more. I can tailor a set list to your event's tone, whether that's upbeat and celebratory or solemn and reflective.

I've been playing the pipes for over 15 years, all of it with a Police Service Pipe Band. In that time, we've played a lot of meaningful events and ceremonies — the kind of moments that really stick with you.

But the pipes aren't just for solemn occasions. I've also been part of plenty of parades and celebrations, so I've gotten pretty comfortable moving between the two — from something quiet and reflective to something loud and full of energy, sometimes in the same week.

I don't have many requirements. If temperatures reach below about 40 degrees it is not safe for the instrument to play much though.
